  • Robbery is a planned crime and must be executed rapidly.



    Robbery Prevention Tips
     

  • Keep alert and report suspicious persons or activity to security or law enforcement immediately.

  • Acknowledge every person who enters the business.

  • Keep the exterior and interior of the business well lit and clutter-free.

  • Never restrict the view into and out of the business with signs, posters, etc. 

  • Keep a minimum amount of cash on hand at all times.

  • Have at least two people to open and close the establishment. 

     

    Security Tips
     

  • Do not count deposits or money until the business is locked up.

  • Leave the cash register empty and open after hours.

  • Leave an interior and some exterior lighting on, so the business can be seen by passing traffic.

  • Move valuable merchandise away from windows and door to prevent smash and grabs.

  • Make sure your address is visible so emergency personnel can easily locate your business.
