Hello. I’m Sheriff Mac E. Manning, Jr.; I would like to take
this time to welcome you to the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office web
site.
The Pitt County Sheriff’s Office has been successful in,
lowering crime rates in rural and unincorporated areas of Pitt
County. We have been instrumental in increasing the number of
uniformed deputies on patrol and utilizing existing personnel to
affectively promote public safety for Pitt County Residents.
We view prevention as an essential component in reducing crime
in Pitt County and advocate prevention programming such as
Community Watch and Operation Identification. We are working
diligently to improve the quality of life in our rapidly growing
county, by providing our citizens with effective prevention
programs, competent and community minded staff that is ready to
assist Pitt County Residents.
